Alana L rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

2020 WineEnthusiast Winemaker of the Year Greg Brewer delivers a rich, structured fruit forward Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir with the 2016 Brewer-Clifton. With dark red fruit (raspberry and cherry), white flowers, warm earth and ocean spray on the nose and palate it’s a fresh and vibrant wine full of elegance and finesse. Present and refreshing acidity, medium body, a slight sandy, but pleasant texture to the tannins and a lingering finish it’s high on the ‘one glass leads to another’ scale.

Easily drinkable on it’s own it could pair with the umami of a fried rice dish or smoked paprika pork chops.

California hosts a profound diversity of soils and climates that offer a unique range of expressions for Pinot Noir, one of the most regionally expressive varieties in the world.

Tasted as part of the 'California Wine Month: Expressions of California Pinot Noir’, a panel discussion and tasting that explored the distinctive character of Pinot Noir from the entire length of the state, bringing together some of its most celebrated winemakers to discuss their insights and experience with the variety; moderated by writer and speaker Elaine Chukan Brown and California Wines Canada and featuring panelists Megan Gunderson Paredes, Winemaker, WALT Wines; Greg Morthole, Winemaker, Davis Bynum Rodney Strong Vineyards; Mike Waller, Winemaker, Calera Winery; Paul Clifton, Director of Winemaking and Greg Brewer, Winemaker, Brewer Clifton.

Cheers!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
