Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tasty Alentejo red blend consisting of Trincadeira, Aragonez, and Castelao. Ripe to jammy dark fruit bouquet with cocoa and vanilla. Nicely structured with plenty of food friendly acidity. Great value as it so often is with wines of the Iberian Peninsula. Would pair wonderfully with grilled steak or lamb.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is a harmonious blend of 45% Trincadeira, 35% Aragonez and 20% Alicante Bouschet. Decant for an hour so you can enjoy the dark fruits on the nose and palate. Chalky tannins on the finish. Try it with hearty stews or casseroles. Tasted August 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
From the Alentejo wine region in Portugal, Carmim Terra Lenta 2016 is a lush and full-bodied 45% Trincadeira, 35% Aragonez and 20% Alicante Bouschet red wine blend with dark plum, dark berry and dried wild herb flavours on the palate finishing long with smooth tannins and good acidity for food. Great value under $14. Pair with a game roast or grilled game sausages. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
