A Costieres de Nimes red blend of Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Dry, medium-plus-bodied and savoury with dark berry, black cherry, dark olive and smoky flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm. Drink or cellar for three years. This wine is labelled organic and is produced from wine grapes sourced from between Nîmes and western Rhône. Pair with an olive tapenade or a meat-lover's pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

A big ,big Rhone blend - mainly Grenache, at 15%, full-bodied. Dark fruit and olive aromas, with tannins still at work, and mineral on the palate. Decant for poultry and veal dishes, hard cheeses or age for several more years.
Produced by Michel Gassier Nostre Païs 2016 is a robust and juicy 35% Grenache, 25% Carignan, 20% Mourvèdre and 20% Syrah red wine blend with dark berry, black cherry, anise and smoky savoury goodness on the palate. Enjoy now and for the next five years with smoked and braised meats. - Community Wine Reviews
