Greg Hughes rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Santa Rita has become a jewel in the crown of California focused mainly on Burgundian wines, but they also do incredible sparklings. This one has the potential to achieve 'cult wine status.' It's 100% Pinot Noir from the main Sea Smoke estate and sees 6 months elevage in barrels as a base wine before a further 16 months in bottle to make it bubbly.
The colour is gorgeous! Extended maceration has absorbed a bit of the reddish hue of the Pinot skins, making this wine a burnt orange with subtle pink hues. For a wine this old, it still has very fine, persistent bubbles.
It's still young and vibrantly aromatic. Lots of white flower notes (lilly and cornflower), cara cara orange, lemon juice, raspberry jam, hayloft, rhubarb, and crème caramel.
It's light, bright, and flavourful. Lots of pure pinot character in sparkling. It has a mouthwatering acidity and tons of vibrant cirtus and berry fruit: more cara oramge, lemon juice/lemon peel, rhubarb, green herbs (sage/thyme), ruminating smoke and autolytic pastry character on the finish from all the sur lie aging it received.
Really satisfying. It will go fast. It would go exceedingly well with butternut squash soup with fried chow mein or, perhaps, some East-Coast Canadian oysters.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
