Fleshy dark fruit and toasty oak on the nose and palate. The 2011 vintage of Graffigna is quaffable, robust and well-priced. Pair this robust Argentine wine, made from the country's iconic red wine grape Malbec, with hearty meat dishes.

Malbec food pairings: steak, hamburgers, herbed chicken, hard cheese, turkey.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Deep, rich colour is the first thing I notice about this spicy Malbec. Aromas include pepper, oak and cedar mingled with red fruit and berries. Spice comes through on the palate and the fruit is subtle, and the tannins are smooth. Medium bodied with medium finish. A great wine with ribs or anything on the BBQ.
Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Starting to show its age through complexity this Malbec has typical dark fruit, warming spices, and dark chocolate flavours with developing notes of leather and earth. Its tannic structure make this the perfect wine for pairing with your favourite BBQ beef or pork.
Drink now, or keep through 2016.
Date tasted: January 2015.
This Argentine red wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels. The vines are planted at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. - Community Wine Reviews
