Reviews and Ratings

Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Château Lynch-Bages is located in the lands of "Batges" at the entrance to Pauillac on Bordeaux’ left bank.
From 1749 to 1824, the vineyard was owned by Thomas Lynch, the son of an Irishman from Galway who worked as a merchant in Bordeaux. Thomas Lynch managed the land wisely and produced high quality wines under the name of ''Cru de Lynch''. As part of the prestigious 1855 Classification, for the Exposition Universelle de Paris, his wine would soon be classified as one of the fifth growths.
The 2013 offering is a blend of 72 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 20 % Merlot, 6 % Cabernet Franc and 2 % Petit Verdot.
Deep dark ruby in the glass with a very earthy and perfumey nose evoking ripe blackberries, bell pepper and soft toasted oak.
Dry, bold and bright on the palate with grippy tannins & luscious acidity. A hint of red and dark fruit rounds up a long slightly smoky finish.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
