Riesling food pairings: spicy Asian fusion, maple glazed ham, grilled seafood.

Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2011 Jackson-Triggs Reserve Riesling is a medium bodied, fruity wine, with appealing aromas of green apple, citrus and subtle hawthorn. It has a nice acidity, is sweeter and has a medium finish. It is food friendly and will also work as a sipper as the body has more intensity than nose. My impression: very NICE, 89 pts – would highly recommend this wine, especially at $11.45. Tasted Oct/12.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Crisp, mouthwatering, and fruity. Lemon and lime, juicy peach aroma, some minerality and a touch of honey. Very refreshing aperatif or seafood wine, great contrast with both rich, creamy dishes or with spicy asian cuisine.
Mark Britton rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A pretty simple Riesling this wine shows nice apple flavours paired with good acidity and even a slight mineral undertone. There is some noticeable effervescent in the glass which aids the pairing with rich fish or cheese.
Travis Oke rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Crisp and acidic with a hint more sweetness than I expected. I would eat this with roasted brussel sprouts, sweet potato, and friends (I wouldn't roast them).
Perfect autumn white just this side of the Gewurtztraminer sweetness line.
Jason Solanki rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Screw top. Mineral, floral apricot and honey aromas. Light-bodied with crisp mineral and lime on the palate. It's on the sweeter side, with good acidity, but has slight tart notes at the mid-palate and a short, supple finish. Tasted Oct/2012.
Nina rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

Very nice Riesling. I would say- German style. Good balance of acidity and sweetness. Apple, stone fruit, citrus. Nice fruity finish.
Susan Desjardins reviewed this wine as follows:

Just off-dry, straw-hued, this wine offers lovely floral, peach and lime notes with a mineral nuance. Finely balanced, there`s lively acidity in counterpoint to tasty orchard fruit and citrus flavours. An easy-going sipper that can also be served with lightly spiced cuisine, or with cheeses such as Laiterie Charlevoix`s 1608, Upper Canada`s Comfort Cream, or Kootenay Alpine Cheese Company`s Alpindon.
The 2011 Reserve Riesling is overflowing with crisp lemon, lime and floral
notes on the nose, and maintains an equally crisp and fresh palate with flavours
of citrus fruits. It is balanced wonderfully with medium sweet hints of fruit
and a firm acidity. The fruit flavours linger, making for a long smooth finish.
