Winner of a Silver Medal at the Concours de Paris 2007. It’s tres rustic but it comes from the spectacular 2005 vintage so it delivers some solid flavour and pleasure. Full-bodied with blackberry, pepper and dried tobacco. Would be divine with filet mignon.

Cabernet Blend food pairings: duck breast with porcini mushrooms.

This 2005 is ... charming, presenting a deep cherry colour and an attractively intense bouquet of red fruit and cassis. A supple, round, and fleshy palate finishes with a touch of warmth which two years ageing will soften. Enjoy it then with duck breast accompanied by porcini mushrooms. Score: 1 (out of 3) Source: Guide Hachette

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
