Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

vinAmité is indeed a family affair with Ray, Wendy, Catherine and Nathalie Coloumbe each doing their part in this small but thriving, sustainably-farmed and family-owned Oliver winery. Love the attitude here as well, as a winery is anything but not in a hurry since there is always something to do. However, the famille Coulombe welcomes you to their very comfy and relaxed winery lounge, to enjoy a glass and to perhaps accompany it with one of Catherine’s many delicious appetizers and “there is no rush”.

The winery is located at 5381 Hwy 97 in Oliver between Rd 5 and Rd 6. The family is dedicated to Old World French varietals with New World freshness.

Chanson d’amour is a lovely, soft-as-a-down-pillow white blend of 60% Pinot Gris, 27% Gewürztraminer/Orange Muscat and 13% Chardonnay. Addictively Aromatic with light hay, ripe peaches, soft orange, ripe pear and golden apple all in harmony with a gentle mouthcoating weight on the palate, the whole wrapped up in a light, refreshing acidity. Superbly balanced. Chanson d’amour is truly a love song and so easy to enjoy on its own. (218 cases made).
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The name literally means "song of love" and this blend of Gewurztraminer, Orange Muscat, unoaked Chardonnay and Pinot Gris really does sing! Aromas of pear, golden apple, fresh grass lemon, and a hint of fresh blossoms. Medium bodied, luscious on the palate with a lot of that same fresh citrus, honey, and more floral notes on the palate. Medium acidity, and nice viscosity. Enjoy this with any seafood, light curries or slightly spicy dishes.
