Black cherry liqueur flavours: rich and delicious especially for this price. Juicy and mouth-watering with good acidity for tangy tomato sauces and hearty meat dishes. Smooth and full-bodied. Great value.

Reviews and Ratings

This robust dry table red wine from the Portuguese producers, the Symington family, is made from grapes grown in the largest vineyard holdings in the Douro Valley. The 2013 vintage of Altano is made from vines planted on flat rather than hillside vineyards in the Superior region of the Douro Valley. The family practises sustainable viticulture. The vines are warmed by the same thermal winds that the Scops Owl, Altano's mascot, uses to glide over the Douro Valley. The soils are mostly schist. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
