Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A Lodi, Cal Sauv Blanc with fragrant gooseberry, lemon and floral notes on nose. Palate gives gooseberry, slight herbal, citrus lemon and hint of melon. Softer overall than many Sauv Blancs. Pair with chicken salad.
Tasted July 2018
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A bit more rounded than some cooler climate Sauvignon blanc, but still with lots of flavour and brightness! Aromas of lemon-lime, melon, and a hint of gooseberry. Medium + acidity, medium body with some lushness, and lots of lemon-lime on the palate. Lovely! Perfect to enjoy with any seafood.
The Sauvignon Blanc wine grapes for Sand Point (2017) were sourced from the banks of the Mokelumne River in the Lodi AVA. The Lange family have been making Sand Point wine since the 1940s and the vineyards are certified-sustainable. Lovely citrus and grassy flavours on this wine to pair with grilled shellfish. - Community Wine Reviews
