Lovely and fresh dry rose with aromas of field strawberries. Such a terrific aperitif (chilled) or try it with grilled chicken to lighten and lift the charry flavours. Aromas of tiny raspberries on this bone-dry rose. Perfect as a lightly chilled aperitif or companion to seared tuna.

Reviews and Ratings

Chris Coughlin - WSET level 3 grad rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Easy sipper, medium intensity aromas and flavours of: Strawberry, citrus and some candy and floral notes with a hint of tannin. This is a patio wine.
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Refreshing summer time rose that is a food friendly and a solo sipper. Very aromatic and versatile with light fruit (think strawberries), candy with a mediumish acidity. Lovely chilled with bbq chicken caesar salad.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A lovely delicate and preet pink rose. Light aromas or cherry candy, delicate floral, and strawberries with cream. Very refreshing flavours of tart cherry, strawberry, and minerality. A great patio sipper, would do well pairing with a shrimp appetizer. To quote someone; "just give me a straw..."
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Summer time is the perfect season to start enjoying Rose wines on the patio and at the dinner table. Quails' Gate has made a super crowd pleasing and affordably priced wine that is available across Canada for a very reasonable price. The colour is terrific, like watermelon candies, and the nose and palate have beautiful slightly sweet strawberries. Mouthfeel is a balance of freshly picked dark red sweet field strawberries with refreshing tartness that makes you want more...I'd suggest buying by the half case and enjoy it this summer. Will also do well around the dinner table come Thanksgiving, if for some reason you don't get around to enjoying it all before then! Summer salad with fresh strawberries and a sweet vinaigrette dressing would be a terrific pairing.

June 22, 2014: Pale salmon with a nose of strawberry, candy floss and a note of green herbs. Dry with perceived sweetnes and refreshing with ripe apple, pear, strawberry and subtle spice. Medium body and nicely balanced, this is so easy to drink on its own but quite versatile with food. This is a wine that will carry through from the dock at the cottage through appetizers and salads to grilled chicken, pork and burgers to a bonfire afterwards. The best of summer in a glass.
Kristin Perrin rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Watermelon / Guava / Strawberry / moderate body with balancing acidity.

Strawberry and floral aromas give way to luscious strawberry jam flavors. A perfect wine for a summer day.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A pretty summer wine with aromas of strawberry, melon and a touch of floral. A bit of minerality adds an air of freshness to the nose. The mouth-feel has some weight and the finish is strawberries and melon. A nice wine with a fruit platter or some firm cheeses.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

If you like strawberries this one's for you!Light strawberry aromas and ripe strawberries on the palate. Would be delightful with a chicken salad.
