Mount Peak Rattlesnake 2016 is a Zinfandel-driven red blend with 10% Petite Sirah added to the mix. The wine was aged in new French (41%) and American (7%) oak barrels for 14 months. This is a dry, full-bodied and juicy Zin with raspberry compote, dark cherry, dark berry, menthol and baking spice flavours on the palate. Rich, spicy and fresh. Pour with bison burgers and BBQ pork ribs. Rattlesnake Zinfandel is a tribute to the crest called Rattlesnake Hill, the highest point of the Monte Rosso Vineyard and famous for the rattlesnakes that live and sun themselves among the vines in the heat of the day.

Zinfandel food pairings: burgers, ribs, slow-braised beef brisket, grilled game sausages.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
