Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

deeply ripe nose of cassis. Brooding richness with ripeness galore. Oak arrives late. Overall the wine has the power of a "super-Tuscan" without the price.
Guado Al Tasso Il Bruciato 2015 is full-bodied red blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Syrah selected from a range of vineyards over 200 acres from the Bogheri DOC in the Tuscany wine region and from an outstanding vintage. Fermentation of the wine was in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 10 to 15 days. A part of the Merlot and Syrah must was fermented at lower temperatures to better conserve varietal aromas. Malolactic fermentation took place partly in oak barrels and partly in stainless steel tanks. The wine was racked and matured in small oak barrels for seven months prior to bottling. Deep ruby in the glass, look for ripe berry fruit, cake spice and a toastiness on the nose and palate. - Community Wine Reviews
