Lovely balance and elegance in the glass. Generous aromas of espresso and black plum give way to a mouth-filling luscious on the palate. While this wine is immediately enjoyable, it will also do well in the cellar. Enjoy it with pork tenderloin tonight.

Merlot food pairings: roast duck in a pomegranate walnut sauce, lamb kebabs, grilled pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From a very well known producer, Clos du Bois - this award winning Merlot was crafted with grapes from the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County. It is rich and intense with a flavor profile of plum, blackberry, chocolate and toasty oak. Well integrated, silky tannins and a lingering blackberry finish. Tasted November 2017.
Clos Du Bois Sonoma Reserve (2014) is a full-bodied and lush Merlot from Alexander Valley, California. What great balance and poise on this wine with lush plum, cherry, mocha and toasty flavours. Pair with a rich pork roast. Drink now and often. - Community Wine Reviews
