Boya Sauvignon Blanc 2017 is produced from the wine grapes sourced from the Boya Vineyards in the Leyda Valley wine region. Boya Vineyards are influenced by the Pacific Ocean's moderating and cooling breezes bringing cool temperatures and allowing grapes to slowly ripen and develop their character. These cooling breezes also bring a salty tang to the grapes from the sea. The 2017 vintage is showing some nice grassy note and ripe orchard fruit finishing with lemony citrus notes. Not complex, but easy to drink and great value as well.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: grilled halibut steaks, lemon sole in white sauce, tuna burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Expressive nose dominated by tomato leaf, also featuring asparagus, and rounded out by subtle grass and boxwood. Extra dry with nearly tear-jerking acidity. Intensely lemon on the palate with those herbal and vegetal notes coming back in the finish. Serve this typical and well-priced SB well chilled with garlic and herb cheeses or shrimp ceviche al fresco this summer and take full advantage of this crisp and refreshing white.
From the Leyda Valley wine region Boya Sauvignon Blanc 2017 is showing some nice grassy note and ripe orchard fruit. This SB is barely medium-bodied, finishing with lemony citrus notes. Not complex, but easy to drink and great value as well. These cooling breezes also bring a salty tang to the grapes from the sea. Boya Sauvignon Blanc has been cold-fermented with no malolactic fermentation. Crisp and refreshing pair with fresh shellfish and seafood. - Community Wine Reviews
