Bolla Le Origini Riserva Classico 2015 Amarone Della Valpolicella is a juicy, powerful and mouth-filling 75% Corvina, Corvinone and 25% Rondinella red wine blend produced from grapes sourced from the Veneto wine region. Bolla is one of the oldest Amarone houses and Oenologist, Christian Zulian, has been a winemaker at Bolla since 2015. Prior to Bolla, he spent 13 years at Marchesi Antinori and several years at Domaine Baron de Rothschild. Look for rich black cherry, vanilla, anise and cedar spice aromas on the nose with ripe dark cherry, cocoa, fresh mushroom, sweet dried tobacco leaf, dried fruit and oak spice flavours on the palate. Pour with steaks or ribs from the grill. This vintage was awarded 2 Glasses out of 3 in the 2019 Gambero Rosso Italian Wines Guide.

Amarone della Valpolicella food pairings: grilled lamb, roast of pork, grilled sausages.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beautiful, robust, and earthy. Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and currant with notes of dried herbs, black licorice, mocha, and smoke. Full bodied, with drying tannins, and bright acidity, with lots of dark berry notes, and a smoky finish with lots of those dried herbaceous hints. Enjoy with roasted leg of lamb.
