This wine is made from Garnacha grapes, with vines that are 80-120 years old. Juicy, full-bodied and delicious: wow! Mouth-wateringly ripe, fleshy blackberries and black raspberries. Smooth, velvet texture. Absolutely yummy.

Garnacha food pairings: lightly spiced curries, game birds, lasagna, cheese pizza, mint sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Vera Czerny rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

My review is on 2008 vintage of this wine.
Atteca is a wine of dark ruby color that improves with aerating. Lovely ripe dark fruit with blueberry tones and spices. Rich, almost sweet flavors of layered fruit is beautifully composed and balanced. Long satisfying finish.

This old vines Garnacha can be enjoyed right now but will improve with 1-2 years in the bottle. This wine can proudly compete with rich red wines from Rhone or California, in much higher price category. Atteca is an excellent value!

Dry
Medium-full body
