Natalie's Score: 91/100

Seductive aromas of espresso, mocha and dark fruit. The wine is aged in American oak barrels for 14 months and that that provide a rich/sweet frame and carry the tannins to an excellent place of balance. Supple and smooth. The horses on the label are a tribute to the wild horses that once roamed the Hose Heaven Hills wine region. They were approximately 14 hands tall: small but sturdy and strong, known for their unbridled strength and freedom. Pair with a grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

There's a good mix of crushed plum, bittersweet chocolate, black raspberry, savoury herbs, crushed mineral and some sweet pipe tobacco. Pair with beef on the BBQ. 91 Points.
From Columbia Valley, Washington, 14 Hands Winery 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is great value under $20. Dry and full-bodied with dark plum, black raspberry, bittersweet chocolate, savoury herbs, vanilla, coffee flavours on the palate with a lingering spicy finish. Nicely layered and very approachable now. - Community Wine Reviews
