Hi Bacchus,

The focus of Saturday's LCBO Vintages Release on wines scoring 90+ points out of 100 reminds me of Mae West's quip:

“The score never interested me, only the game.”

Many winemakers and wine drinkers would agree, believing that a wine's essence can't be captured in a number.

However, as Vince Lombardi asked, "If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?"
