Leaning Post Pinot Noir 2021, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Leaning Post 2021 Pinot Noir is a dry, medium-bodied PN with grapes sourced from several vineyards in the Niagara Peninsula wine region: Senchuk Vineyard, Grimsby Hillside Vineyard in Lincoln Lakeshore and the Hemeris Vineyard in the Beamsville Bench. Grape batches were fermented separately and then blended for a beautifully-balanced wine fragrant with rose petals, fresh red cherry, raspberry, blueberry, earthy, mineral and baking spice flavours elegant and vibrant on the palate. Lightly chill it and enjoy it with roast pheasant or duck confit. Pinot Noir food pairings: savoury steaks and roast beef, slow cooked beef or pork, wild game with rich berry sauces. Grgich Hills Chardonnay 2019, Napa Valley, California, United States: From Napa Valley, Grgich Hills 2019 Chardonnay is produced from 100% estate-grown grapes that are certified organic and biodynamic. This zesty Chard is dry, medium-bodied with layers of ripe stone fruit, lemon curd, toasted nut, earthy, smoky and minerally flavours silky smooth with a long and harmonious finish. The wine is aged 10 months in French oak barrels (40% new). Drink through 2029. Mike Grgich made the 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay - the white wine that won the Paris Tasting.
