H.J. Fabre Cabernet Franc 2021, Luján De Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina: From Argentina's Luján De Cuyo, H.J. Fabre Reserva 2021 is a great value 100% Cabernet Franc at $20. Grapes were sourced from the Alto Agrelo zone, about 1,100 metres above sea level from 20-year-old vines planted in alluvial soils. Fresh with zesty, food-friendly acidity, the wine is dry, medium-bodied with bright red berry, pepper spice, herbal and flinty flavours juicy on the palate. Tannins are structured and pleasantly grippy. Enjoy it with roast duck, leg of lamb or a sausage cassoulet. Cabernet Franc food pairings: lamburgers, tourtiere, veal ribs in a rich sauce.
